<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Session 1319, Minutes Page 6 <br /> November 22, 1982 <br /> <br /> <br /> Mr. Adams moved that the Council endorse the proposal so that the UCRA may move <br /> forward and not have to wait 30 days. Mr. Levy seconded the motion, which carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> SALE OF SURPLUS LOTS <br /> <br /> The City Manager said there were two surplus lots, one 40' and one 3' at 6320-22 <br /> Cates. The adjacent residents were notified of the availability of these lots, and <br /> William and Ercilia Green, 6326 Cates, agreed to purchase them for $100, which is <br /> the price the City has accepted in most cases for similar property. Mr. Ollendorff <br /> said it would be in the City's best interests to return this property to the tax <br /> rolls, in addition to avoiding future maintenance expense to the City. He recom- <br /> mended that the Council approve this sale. <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion, which carried unani- <br /> mously. <br /> CONSIDERATION OF PURCHASE OF TRUCK FOR STREET DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> The City Manager said the City solicited bids from thirteen area truck dealers for <br /> the replacement of Fleet #83, a 1969 Ford 11 ton dump truck, with the following re- <br /> sponse: <br /> <br /> Broadway Ford $14,375 after trade-in <br /> Valley Ford $14,637 it <br /> Kribs Ford $14,657 it <br /> GMC Truck Center $14,672 " <br /> Broeg Chevrolet $15,563 <br /> Mr. Ollendorff recommended that the award go to Broadway Ford in the amount of <br /> $14,375, after trade-in. <br /> Mrs. Metcalfe moved approval, with Mr. Adams seconding the motion. All voted Aye. <br /> <br /> CONSIDERATION OF SIDEWALK ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT ON LINDELL AND PERSHING <br /> <br /> The City Manager said bid proposals were received for the sidewalk adjustment and <br /> replacement project on Lindell and Pershing Avenues, as shown below: <br /> D. Bennish Construction Co., Inc. $11,931.19 <br /> Jim Noonan Contracting Co., Inc. $13,199.10 <br /> Don Richardson Concrete Co. $13,557.00 <br /> Eves Contracting, Inc. $13,718.10 <br /> Concrete Design, Inc. $13,976.82 <br /> Maryland Heights Concrete Contractors, Inc. $15,798.05 <br /> City Engineer's estimate $12,009.42 <br /> <br /> Mr. Ollendorff recommended that the contract be awarded to D. Bennish Construction <br /> Co., Inc., 68 Becky Lane, St. Charles, MO for their lowest and best bid of <br /> $11,931.19. <br />
