2. <br />BILL 9097 – An ordinance repealing Chapter 2.62 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to the police and Firefighter’s Retirement System, and enacting in lieu <br />thereof a new chapter to be known as “Chapter 2.62 Police and Firemen’s Retirement <br />System”, thereby amending said chapter so as to maintain plan qualification under the <br />Internal Revenue Code, remove outdated provisions, revise language to assure <br />consistencyand restructure the plan to assure consistency of thestructure and order of <br />, <br />plan provisions <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci moved Bill 9097 for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Ms. Ricci, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price and Mayor <br />Welsch <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9097 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6838. <br /> <br />3. <br />BILL 9098 – An ordinance repealing chapter 2.64 of the University City Municipal Code, <br />relating to the Nonuniformed Employees Retirement System, and enacting in lieu <br />thereof a new chapter to be known as “Chapter 2.64 Nonuniformed Employees <br />Retirement System”, thereby amending said chapter so as to maintain plan qualification <br />under the internal revenue code, remove outdated provisions, revise language to <br />assure consistency, and restructure the plan to assure consistency of the structure and <br />order of plan provisions <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci moved Bill 9098 and was seconded by Mr. Crow. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci and Mayor <br />Welsch <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9098 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6839. <br /> <br />N. NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />1. <br />Resolution 2010 – 21 The University City Council will offer this pledge for current <br />Councilmembers to sign <br />Mr. Kraft moved for its approval and was seconded by Ms. Ricci. <br /> <br />Mr. Price stated his position is that when he was sworn into office he gave his sworn <br />oath then and did not need to give a second oath. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft stated that it is not a requirement, all that is being voted on is that the Council <br />agrees to offer this pledge and those who want to sign it can do so. <br /> <br />Voice vote carried for its approval with three NAY votes from Mr. Price, Mr. Crow and <br />Mr. Sharpe. <br /> <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br />
