Mr. Price moved to approved, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and carried unanimously. <br />3. Community Development Block Grant for 2010 Amendment. Certain funds for the 2010 <br />allocation could not be used as allocated; the proposed reallocation was submitted for <br />Council's approval. $14,700 was removed from Police and added to Private Property <br />Rehabilitation. <br />Mr. Glickert moved to approve, seconded by Ms. Ricci and carried unanimously. <br />4. St. Louis Regional Wayfinding Program participation was approved on February 10, 2010 <br />by the Economic Development Retail Sales Tax Board for the City's participation in a tourist <br />promotion program coordinated by the St. Louis Convention and Visitor's Center. The <br />program included the installation of wayfaring signage at primary points along St. Louis <br />interstates to enhance the visibility and accessibility of St. Louis Area locations and <br />attractions. The contract exceeded $25,000 and needed Council's approval. <br />Mr. Price moved to approve, was seconded by Mr. Glickert and carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Walker had an additional item not on the agenda announcing the award of $461,000 a <br />CDBG grant for disaster assistance. The City applied for this grant to help cover the cost of <br />the Wilson buy-out. The City is in the process of doing the environmental assessment that is <br />a condition of the award. Mr. Walker said this award puts the City in the position that, of the <br />one million dollars set aside for the Wilson Avenue project. now only $539,000 will come <br />from the City's reserve fund. He recommended the Council have a discussion on the use of <br />the $461,000. <br />L. COUNCIL ACTION ITEMS <br />1. Council Reports and Business <br />Ms. Ricci attended the Joint Olivette/U City task force meeting and said if anyone was <br />interested in attending the next meeting, it would be the first Wednesday of each month and <br />the next meeting will be at 7pm at Centennial Commons. <br />Mr. Sharpe said the Arts and Letters Commission is planning on having the concerts in the <br />park again. He said the returning artist presentation was very successful at the high school <br />Mayor Welsch said the newly established commission on Human Relations will have its first <br />meeting April 19, 6:30 p.m. in the EOC room. This meeting will be regularly held on the <br />third Tuesday of the month. <br />She noted the members of the Aquatics task force are: <br />• Mary Ann Ziggy nominated by Mr. Kraft and appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Dan Glazier appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Bob Winters appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Steve McMahon nominated by Tom Peters and appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Jen Jensen nominated by Ellen Bern and appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• George Lenard nominated by Rod Jennings and appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Grace Corbin appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />• Steve Selipsky nominated by Mr. Glickert and appointed by Mayor Welsch <br />
