Ms. Elwood stated that the next Historic Preservation CommissIon meeting <br />would be on July 15, 1987 and that Mr. Buckner's applIcation and proposed renovations <br />could be revIewed on that date. Mr. Buckner stated that he was willing to remove the <br />ticket booth as recommended by Planning staff and would attend the HistorIc <br />PreservatIon meeting. <br /> <br />After further dIscussion, Mr. Rice moved that the Plan CommIssion recommend approval <br />of Conditional Use Permit No. 249 subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. The occupant load for the sanctuary, Including the choir and pulpit area, shall <br />not exceed 300 persons. If addItIonal off-street parking is arranged, the City <br />Manager is empowered to increase the allowable occupant load by 4 persons for each <br />additional parking stall provided. <br /> <br />2. The parkIng shall be laId out with two-way aisles with 900 parkIng. <br /> <br />3. A detailed landscapIng plan shall be submitted to the Director of Planning for <br />review and approval. In additIon to the landscaping indicated in the application, a <br />densely planted compact hedge not less than 30 Inches In height shall be planted on <br />the three sides of the parking lot that adjoin public street rightS-Of-way and at <br />least two free-standing trees shall be planted In tree pits located In the center row <br />of parking. Landscaping shall be installed and maintaIned in accordance wIth the <br />approved plan. <br /> <br />4. All work on the exterior of the buildIng including removal of the marquee, <br />installatIon of sIgning renovation and repair work shall be reviewed and approved by <br />the HistorIc PreservatIon Commission before work is started and shall be subject to <br />approval of the Commission upon its completion. The ticket booth treatment Is not <br />consistent with the Art Deco design and should be removed and modIfied In accordance <br />with recommendations of the Historic Preservation CommissIon. <br /> <br />5. Exterior renovatIon and repaIrs except for the replacement of doors on the east <br />and west elevatIon shall be completed prIor to occupancy. <br /> <br />6. ParkIng lot paving, curbing, stripping and landscaping shall be completed by <br />May 15, 1988 . <br /> <br />Ms. Kreishman seconded the motIon whIch passed by a vote of 6-0. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO SUBDIVIDE PROPERTY AT 1435 WOODSON ROAD BY MASSMAN. STEPHANS AND POEHLMAN. <br />INC. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley called forward Mr. Jeff Weisman, an attorney with Summers, Compton, <br />Wells & Hamburg, who represented Tomco, Inc. and its President, Mr. V. F. Thompson. <br />Mr. Weisman Indicated that Tomco, Inc. wished to sell a portion of their property to <br />their northern neighbor, Two-O-Five Corporation dba Wiese Planning & Engineering <br />Company, in order for them to expand their operations. Mr. McCauley stated that the <br />applIcation for resubdivision of this property was of great concern to the City Plan <br />Commission as presented because it created a separate, landlocked parcel that <br />violated ZonIng Code Section 34-21.
