Appendix D contains a summary of some <br />sample programs. <br />? Study the feasibility of establishing a tier system for single- <br />family residential zoning. Currently one zoning district exists <br />for single-family residential uses. A tier system would <br />establish various residential zoning districts to regulate lot <br />size, height and other parameters and safeguard against in-fill <br />construction that does not conform to the prevailing lot size <br />and width of certain neighborhoods. <br />? Research the existence of standards and deed restrictions <br />or architectural controls in private subdivisions. Determine <br />applicability to infill development. <br />10. p. 21 under R-5, add a new triangle with text: "Create a residential Infill <br />Review Board." <br />See comments for #9. <br />19. p. 31 under Policies, 3rd check box, add".. .and will establish an infill <br />review board to work closely with city staff, developers, and Plan <br />Commission to harmonize new infill construction in existing <br />neighborhoods. " <br />See comments for #9. <br />20. p. 32 item H-2 change to read "Create an infill review board. <br />See comments for #9. <br />23. p. 35 H-9 after "the University City School District, delete "and increase <br />City public relations efforts in order", and insert the words "and invest in <br />developing marketing programs for University City in support of the <br />economic development organization" referred to in Section E-1, p. 42. <br />The Economic Development Organization should certainly support <br />housing marketing efforts. However, it is more appropriate for the <br />City to invest in its own marketing efforts as stated in <br />recommendation H-9 "...and increase City public relations efforts in <br />order to attract investors, developers, home purchasers and renters." <br />30. p. 42 under E-1 insert after the words "development organization" the <br />words "such as a Chamber of Commerce". And in the second sentence <br />change the word "private" to the words "cooperative City/private". A And in <br />the same sentence insert after the words "business community" the <br />words "City staff and Councilmembers". <br />A Chamber of Commerce is a private not for profit organization, <br />rather than a City Department. <br />34. p. 43 4th square bullet, starting with "collect dues", delete all. <br />
