A parking assessment was performed and the results are as follows: <br /> <br /> On the east side of North and south Road, adjacent to Miller Park, there are approximately 40 <br />parking spaces. <br /> <br /> Within Millar Park there are 7 parking spaces provided next to the pavilion. <br /> <br />In conclusion, a total of 47 off-street parking spaces are offered for public parking during the <br />weekends. <br /> <br />Public Works recommends that if the Commission approves the installation of street signs proposed <br />in item #1 of this agenda, there will be a change in driver’s behavior related to the awareness of <br />pedestrians and school zone designation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Carleton Avenue, from Hanley Road to North and South Road <br /> <br />3. Traffic Requests under St. Louis County jurisdiction - Request to install Stop Signs on <br />Midland Ave <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request form submitted on September 13, 2010 by Mr. David Mitchell <br />Jacobs Schwartz, resident at 7316 Tulane Avenue. Mr. Jacobs is requesting to install “Stop” signs on <br />Midland Boulevard at each east and west bound at Stanford Avenue, Colgate Avenue, Amherst <br />Avenue, Tulane Avenue, Princeton Avenue, Dartmouth Avenue and Vernon Avenue. <br /> <br />Midland Boulevard is a Saint Louis County maintained road and the City has no jurisdiction. The <br />intersecting streets are private streets, and the City has no jurisdiction over street sign installation on <br />private streets. <br /> <br />Midland Boulevard and Vernon Avenue is currently designated as a Stop All-Way intersection. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes September 13, 2010 <br />4. <br /> <br /> <br />NON ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />5.
