Session 1706, Minutes <br />September 22, 1997 <br /> <br />years of service. She said that she loved everyone on the Council and would miss their <br />misunderstandings and deliberations greatly. She said that the work that the Council had <br />done and the experience that she had gained could not be bought anywhere. She will <br />miss it greatly. She will strive to be the best State Representative the state has ever had. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (5 ITEMS) <br /> <br /># 1 - John Deere 955 Tractor: Invitation to Bids were sent to five vendors for the <br />purchase of a John Deere 955 Tractor for the Park Maintenance Department. A trade in <br />allowance was requested for a 1989 Kubota L2550 4WD Tractor. The bid results were as <br />follows: <br /> <br />ART'S <br />LAWNMOWER <br /> <br />BRINKER <br />TRACTOR SALES <br /> <br />ERB EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />U NIT PRICE TRADE-I N TOTAL <br /> $22,618.00 ($6,695.00) $15,668.00 <br /> <br />$27,167.00 <br /> <br />$30,710.00 <br /> <br />($10,000.00) <br /> <br />($14,599.00) <br /> <br />$17,167.00 <br /> <br />$16,111.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended making the purchase from Art's Lawnmower for their low <br />bid of $15,668.00. <br /> <br />#2 - Turn Out Gear: Quotations have been received to provide ten sets of turnout coats <br />and pants for the Fire Department. $9,500.00 was set aside in the budget. Four <br />companies were invited to quote. The bids were tabulated as follows: <br /> <br />Vallen Safety <br /> <br />* Battalion Three <br /> <br />$11,358.00 <br />$9,990.00 <br /> <br />* Female Business Enterprise <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding the purchase to Battalion Three for their low bid <br />of $9,990.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
