Youth will report directly to department supervisors, determined by the department <br />director. <br />The youth will also attend programs (bi weekly), to provide training in the following <br />areas: <br />Job Search skills <br />Application and resume skills <br />Interviewing skills <br />Personal financial management skills <br />A local bank will be invited to speak on financial management and sign the youth up for <br />bank accounts as needed. <br />END OF PROGRAM <br />: <br />Participants will have a salary history <br />Youth will have verifiable employment history <br />Youth will have job skills, job training, which will prepare the youth for employment <br />elsewhere. <br />Participants will also receive a t-shirt indicating that they completed the program. <br />COST ESTIMATE <br />Estimate of hiring 10 youth at minimum wage: <br />40 hours per week X 10 Weeks= 400 Hours <br />480 Hours X $7.25/Hour= $2,900 <br />$2,900 X 10 youth= $29,000 <br />$2,000 for t-shirts, job ads, miscellaneous supplies and administrative items. <br />TOTAL: <br /> $30,000 <br />These amounts do not include FICA, Medicare, workers compensation, or materials. <br />The number of participants in the estimate was chosen to stay in line with allocated <br />funding. <br /> <br />
