Ile explained that in general,
the City is to pay for a substantial part of the salary of the instructor, as
well as for certain instructional materials and the supplies, and for the
materials used in the remodeling. The work is to be completed by the end of
the Spring school term.
There was discussion about the proposal, and Hayor Kaufman and Councilman
Weissenburger said it was not their understanding that the City would pay for
any part of the instructor's salary. City Manager henry clarified this,
pointing out this was the proposal that was presented and submitted to the
Council--che School will fund after this year, when they will obtain a grant
from the State, but the first year the City would have to pay part of the
teacher's salary and part of the instructional salary. He recommended that
the Council proceed in this manner.
Councilman Lieberman moved approval of the Agreement for the joint City/School
Vocational Program. Motion seconded by Councilman Gliekert and unanimously
carried.
WEEKLY POLICE DEPARTI]ENT REPORT:
The Police Department report for the week of December 29, 1974 to January 4,
1975 was received and ordered filed.
WEEKLY FIRE DEPARTIENT REP 02T:
The Fire :Department report for the week of December 29, 1974 to January 4,
1975 was received and ordered filed.
PERSONNEL REPORT:
The Personnel Report as of the Creek ending; January 4, 1975 was received and
ordered filed.
BILLS FOR ADOPTIOII AS ORDINANCES
BILL M. 6;57 - A:1 ORDINANCE GIL ITIN G, S PRLIMERING, AI4D QUIT -CLAIMING THE
PUBLIC EASEI;ENT, LUT RESERVING PU:3LIC UTILITY EMM1:20TS, I1 A PORTION OF THE
UNIVERSITY COURT U BIU4 RENE11AL AREA AND FURTHER DEDICKIING TO PUBLIC USE A
PORTION OF LAIZ AS RELOCATED WESTGATE AVEIM RIG;=T-OF-?TAY SOUT11 OF VEMO y:
Bill No. 6957 - Deferred.
MILL 1,10. 6976 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 ZOIII!iG CODE (SECTION 34-33.3) I'ELATIIUG
TO USE RE-GULATIO14S IN A SI14GL E FAMILY RESIDEIITIAL DISTINCT:
Bill 11o. 6976 - Deferred.
BILL No. 6934 - A•IEADING CHAPTER 34 ZONING CODE (SECTION 34-52.3) - PERMITTED
ACCESSORY USES:
Bill No. 6934 - Deferred.
