Session 1241, Minutes Page 7 <br />March 24, 1980 <br />Councilman Adams said he wanted to commend Gateway for not contacting councilmen <br />individually, and said he. was..somewhat upset that the others had done so, even <br />though they had been .asked not to. Fie also said he felt all the companies were <br />responsible, ongoing companies and was sorry .that.some..had to_.be disappointed. <br />He reiterated the importance of enacting a.strong ordinance. <br />Councilman Metcalfe said she wanted to make clear that she did not vote Nay be- <br />cause she felt Continental would not install a good system, but that it was <br />simply not her first choice. <br />Councilman.Lieberman said this is only the first, and the easiest, step in this <br />process. If the company chosen does not produce answers in the negotiations <br />which are in the best interests of the community, University City will go to an- <br />other company. <br />Councilman Glickert said she wished to commend both American and Continental, who <br />each did a very comprehensive, in-depth study of the University City community. <br />PERSONNEL REPORT <br />The Personnel report for the week ending March 22, 1980, was received and ordered <br />filed. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT, <br />The Police Department.report for the week of March 9, 1980, through March 15, <br />1980, was received and ordered filed. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />The Fire Department .report .for the week of March 9, 1980, through March 15, 1980, <br />was received and ordered filed. <br />BILLS FOR ADOPTION AS ORDINANCES <br />BILL NO. 7379 (AS AMENDED) - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZON- <br />ING, BY REPEALING ARTICLE..IX, AND..
