The subcommittee previously dealing with travel guidelines, was also
asked to suggest changes to the Truck Parking Ordinance. The memo outlines a change that would
allow the City Manager some discretionary leeway to allow variances. There should not be many
variances and these variances should be backed up with written documentation of extenuating
circumstances. An additional inspection fee would also have to paid. The subcommittee agrees with
the procedure as outlined in the memo. If there were no objections from Council, Mr. Wagner
would like to direct the City Manager to prepare an ordinance.
