Mr. <br />Ollendorff recommends award of the contract to Konica Business Machines for their low bid of <br />$16,155.00. <br /> <br />#7 ~ Public Hearin_~ - Telecommunication Tower Ordinance: Mr. Ollendorff recommended setting <br />7:30 p.m. on September 8, 1997, in the Council Chambers as the time and place for a public hearing <br />on proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance which establish conditions for locating <br />telecommunication towers. Draft amendments have been prepared and will be reviewed by the Plan <br />Commission at their August meeting. <br /> <br />#8 - Bid Tabulation - Calendars: Bids for printing the 1998 City Calendar have been received. Nine <br />printers were invited to solicit bids. The Public Relations department will be utilizing a four color <br />printing process for the 1998 University City Calendars. The four color process is more expensive <br />and requires special equipment and skills to produce. The bid tabulations are as follows: <br /> <br />Color Art, Inc. <br />Valcour Printing <br />Publication Printing <br /> <br />$13,500.00 <br />$13,950.00 <br />$14,410.00 <br /> <br />City Manager recommends awarding contract to Color Art for their low bid of $13,500.00. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the Consent Calendar. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA NO. 2: TRAFFIC CONTROLS - ROTH GROVE NEIGHBORHOOD: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff reported that the residents in the Roth Grove Neighborhood have come up with a <br />number of proposals in response to traffic studies that were done for the City by a traffic consultant <br />paid for by Schnuck Markets. The proposals include requesting several stop signs and to prohibit <br />through traffic on the main street of their subdivision at rush hour. The staff and the Traffic <br />Commission agrees with this last proposal. Council can request a bill to prohibit through traffic and <br />decide what hours it should cover. As far as stop signs, three were requested, and all were <br /> <br /> <br />
