BIILL 9118 <br /> – An ordinance amending Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal <br />Code, relating to parking restrictions for specific streets, by repealing Section <br />10.44.010 thereof, relating to parking prohibited on certain streets at all times, and <br />enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as “Section 10.44.010 parking <br />prohibited on certain streets at all times,” thereby amending said section so as to <br />restrict parking at all times on the west side of Melville Avenue thereof from Delmar <br />Boulevard to Kingsbury Avenue, and on the north side of Loop South thereof from <br />Melville Avenue to ninety (90) feet west; containing a saving clause and providing a <br />penalty. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft moved to approve Bill 9118 and was seconded by Mr. Price. <br /> <br />Roll Call vote was: <br />AYES: Mr. Price, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Sharpe <br />NAYS: Mr. Glickert <br /> <br />Bill 9118 failed as a majority of Council was needed to pass the bill, not the majority <br />of Council present. <br /> <br />2. BILL 9133 - <br />An ordinance ordering the levy and fixing the rate of property taxes to be <br />collected in the City of University City for the Year 2011 to provide for General <br />Revenue, Police and Firefighter Retirement, General Obligation Bond Debt Service, <br />and for the University City LOOP Special Business District and the Parkview <br />Gardens Special Taxing District. <br />Mr. Kraft moved to amend tax rate numbers with the City receiving the final numbers <br />from the County as follows: <br />a.) 0.555 becomes 0.561, 0.642 becomes 0.680; b.) 0.156 becomes to 0.158, 0.183 <br />becomes to 0.190; section 2 - 0.053 becomes to 0.536; section 3 – 0.615 becomes <br />0.625, and 0.703 becomes to 0.722. <br />Mr. Glickert seconded the motion to amend said numbers and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to approve Bill 9133 as amended and was seconded by Mr. <br />Glickert. <br />Roll Call Vote was: <br />AYES: Mr. Price, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Glickert, and Mayor Pro-tem Sharpe. <br />NAYS: none <br /> <br />Bill 9133 carried unanimously and became Ordinance 6869. <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
