There is no charge for reinspections (unless otherwise noted). To schedule <br />reinspections remember to check on the corresponding box in Housing Inspections. <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />Enter Govern <br />? <br /> <br />Open the “Housing” department application (Property Control should be <br /> <br />highlighted) resembles a manila folder that is open <br />? <br /> <br />Enter the address in Property Location and then type in the address <br />? <br /> <br />Click “Browse” and select the correct address <br />? <br /> <br />Click your Function key (noted by the F) and then select General Permits <br />? <br /> <br />Click on the Inspection icon (resembles a hand writing on a notebook) <br />? <br /> <br />Press “New” to enter the inspection <br />? <br /> <br />Select the inspectors name then enter the information of the person <br />scheduling the inspection under the “Notes and Comments” and any other <br />pertinent information (i.e. if the door will be unlocked or if there is a lock <br /> <br />box number the click on the square for Original Inspection <br />? <br /> <br />SAVE the information <br />? <br /> <br />Press “Schedule” from this same screen to locate a date and time for the <br /> <br />inspection <br />? <br /> <br />Press OK and SAVE <br /> <br /> <br />Issuing Building Permits (Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fence, etc) <br /> <br />Check to make sure that there are no fees owed on the property. If so, a permit cannot be <br /> <br />issued.Plumbing and electrical contractors must be licensed to take out permits and do <br />work in University City. Both must have current license issued by the Department of <br />Public Works in St. Louis County. Plumbing contractors must also have a separate <br />license issued by this Department (Planning and Development). <br /> <br />Plumbing contractor’s licenses are renewable throughout the year with us. If the <br />contractor renews his license prior to the expiration date, he/she needs to submit a <br />payment of $28.50 (renewal of master plumber or drain layer and $2.28 for a <br />journeyman).
