Ms. Ricci moved that the current fee structure for programs for the next season
remain the same and that the printing of the new booklet go forward clearly marked
with an asterisk or some designation indicating that the fees of the current program
are subject to an increase of up to five percent within a period of 60 days of
introduction. Ms. Feier wanted to clarify what was meant by 60 days as long as
Council understood that this was for the spring program.

Mr. Sharpe was not comfortable with printing that the price could be subject to
change. Ms. Brot agreed with Mr. Sharpe, Jr., to have another meeting with Ms.
MacCartney and Council members. She would like the Parks’ Commission
members be invited also. Mayor Adams said that it has always been a policy that
fees reflect the cost of said programs.

Ms. Ricci moved to postpone to a later date. She felt that Council should have been
advised at the study session that the fee structure would be presented for a vote at
the next Council session. Ms. Ricci felt she needed time to study it so she can
address the fee structure with her constituents. Mr. Glickert seconded the motion
and was unanimously agreed to postpone to a later date.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

Public Hearing was opened at 7:55 p.m.
1. Bills 8911 and 8912 relating to the parking of trucks and displaying a for sale
sign inside a vehicle.

Mr. Price noted that he is primarily concerned about a warning be given first
before being given a ticket.

CITIZEN COMMENTS
Rosalyn Borg, 7820 Cornell Ave.
Ms. Borg was present to speak on retaining the present ordinance to restrict
street parking for trucks. She sited examples of why she felt it important not to
allow trucks to park on U-City streets.

Elsie Glickert, 6712 Etzel
Ms. Glickert said that Councils dealing with the truck issue has been consistently
addressed. She felt that at present there was a good compromise requiring that
if a resident does not have a driveway, they would need to purchase a permit
and would then be able to park their truck on the street. Ms. Glickert said the
Council needs to consider how parking of trucks on city streets would impact
neighborhoods, city streetscape, and property values.

Anne Marie Kiddon, 7348 Wellington Ave.
Ms. Kiddon requested the ordinance be kept as it is; otherwise there would be
more clutter from trucks parking on the street and also the proposed change
would invite large trucks also to park on the residential street. Ms. Kiddon
asked, were not new residents given a booklet explaining parking rules.
