Wade, 7560 Melrose, and Ms. Jane L. <br />Morris, 6960 Waterman, to the Municipal Commission on Arts and Letters for terms expiring <br />January 2, 2000. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S AGg. NDA <br /> <br />Mayor Adam said Items 2 and 4 will be removed from the Consent Calendar and considered <br />separately, as requested by Mrs. Schuman and Mr. Ollendorff. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (TWO ITEMS) <br /> <br />Liquor License - Symphony Music School (#1). Approval may be granted for picnic liquor licenses <br />in conjunction with 24 upcoming events at the St. Louis Symphony Community Music School, 560 <br />Trinity, including Summerlest, Gateway Men's Chorus, and other special programs. <br /> <br />Fairway Mower (#3). Invitations to bid on a fairway mower for the golf course were sent to six <br />companies, with the following response: <br /> <br />Erb Turf& Utility Equipment (Bid #1) <br />Erb Turf& Utility Equipment (Bid #2) <br />Outdoor Equipment (Bid #1) <br />Outdoor Equipment (Bid #2) <br /> <br />John Deere 3235 <br />John Deere 3215 <br />Jacobsen LF 128 <br />Ransomes 250 <br /> <br />$29,779.38 <br />$24,138.74 <br />$27,400.00 <br />$25,675.OO <br /> <br />Both bids from Erb and Outdoor Equipment Bid #2 did not meet specifications; therefore, the recom- <br />mendation was to purchase the Jacobsen LF128 from Outdoor Equipment for $27,400. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the Consent Calendar. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, and all <br />voted Aye. <br /> <br />NORTHWEST U. CITY PLAN (former Consent Calendar #2) <br /> <br />The City Manager recommended adoption of the Northwest U. City Plan. He said this action will <br />demonstrate the City's commitment to implementing a variety of strategies aimed at meeting identi- <br />fied needs in the area north of Olive and west of 82nd Boulevard to the City limits. Issues ranging <br />from tree and street maintenance to community policing and property inspections were identified by <br />involved citizens and scheduled for action by City staff. Adoption of the plan is official support to <br />the activities and projects aimed at maintaining the quality and beauty of these neighborhoods. The <br />plan itself can be changed and updated as new ideas and possibilities are identified. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman said she asked that this item be considered separately because she had several ques- <br />tions, and also felt it deserved more attention since so much effort from the staff and neighborhood <br /> <br /> <br />
