The motion was seconded by Ms. Carr. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Other Business <br /> <br />Presentation: Parkview Gardens Neighborhood Sustainability and Redevelopment Plan <br />presented by John Hoal with H3 Studio, project consultants. <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that the Parkview Gardens Neighborhood planning process is entering its last <br />phase. The final public workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 1. He added that the <br />consultants are not looking for Plan Commission endorsement at this time, but are keeping the <br />Plan Commission members updated. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoal gave a presentation of the Parkview Gardens Neighborhood Sustainability and <br />Redevelopment Plan. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked about the area in the northeast part of the study area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoal stated that this area was intended for mainly residential and mixed use, similar to <br />Kingsland Walk with buildings at the street and interior parking. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia asked about affordability and if the amount of affordable housing be affected. <br /> <br />Mr. Hoal stated that existing affordable housing will remain and a portion of any new <br />development will be affordable, approximately 350 new units should be affordable. There will <br />be affordable house, student housing, as well as market rate housing. <br /> <br />Ms. Moran asked about the percentage of student housing. <br /> <br />Mr. Breihans with H3 Studio stated that approximately 35 to 40 percent of the area is student <br />housing, which includes undergraduate and graduate students. <br /> <br />tm; <br /> šE  <br /> <br />
