Mr. Price asked the architect, Mr. Mak, if he would do a walk through
with him on the site so that Mr. Price could have a better understanding of the
construction and effectiveness of the proposed retaining wall.

CITIZEN COMMENT
Yar Mohabbat, 1249 North and South
Mr. Mohabbat expained that as an architect he wanted the Council to understand
more thoroughly the requirements that professionals as civil engineers are
responsible for in building privacy fences.

Mr. Wagner moved for approval of the rezoning of Seafood City and was seconded
by Mr. Price.
Roll Call Vote was as follows:
AYES: Mr. Price, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Wagner, Ms. Brot, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe, Jr.,
and Mayor Adams
NAYS: None

Bill 8919 passed and was given Ordinance No. 6677.

TABLED SITE PLAN APPROVAL ON CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
Mr. Price moved to take from the table the site plan report, seconded by Mr.
Sharpe, Jr. and was unanimously approved.

Ms. Feier explained that this is the site plan for Seafood City encompassing lots
7743 and 7745 Olive. She said that conditions have been added to this approval
that addressed issues previously expressed by the citizens, including having the
proper drainage which will be inspected by MSD as well as U-City’s Public Works’
department.

Mayor Adams requested to add the condition to have freezer capacity available for
the storage of fish remnants until disposal time. Mr. Wagner and Mr. Sharpe, Jr.,
agreed with Mayor Adams. Mr. Glickert said that at the present, Seafood City has
limited refrigerated space. There will always be remnants from filleting the fresh
whole fish and disposal of fish that did not sell, so keeping the remains refrigerated
until trash pick-up would be necessary.

Ms. Brot said that she had looked forward to the new expanded building as part of
the Olive development but did not see this in the plans. Mr. Mak said that the
building expansion was in the plans for the future but the owner and he needed to
start on the parking area first.

Mr. Price requested a condition of requiring a screened trash storage area that
would block its view from Olive. He asked the City Manager to bring the existing
location into compliance before issuing the building permit.
