VERSION 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr., asked if the Council could meet with the owner and talk directly with <br />him. Ms. Feier said that she felt the staff could handle describing the conditions <br />and enforcements which the Council had requested. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved to accept the site plan with the three conditions added, seconded <br />by Mr. Wagner and was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />C-1-e <br />Mayor Adams suggested that in the future the Council limit itself in the <br />number of repetitious statements and their length pertaining to one issue. <br /> <br />SWEARING IN <br />Ms. Evelyn Hollowell was sworn in as a new member to the Arts and Letters <br />Commission. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />RESOLUTION 2006 – 8 <br /> <br />The resolution which would incorporate the lottery system in determining the ballot <br />position for candidates running for Mayor or Councilmember was moved by Mr. <br />Price, seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. Mr. Wagner was excused <br />and not present for the vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2006 – 9 <br />The resolution listing the financial requirements for a candidate to become certified <br />was moved by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and was seconded by Ms. Brot. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci said that she had received this resolution late and did not have adequate <br />time to do any research. She did not know if verifying all of these regulations was <br />solely the City Clerk’s job. She also challenged the clarity of its appeal process or <br />how it was done in the past. With that, Ms. Ricci said she would not be able to vote <br />in favor ofr this resolution. <br /> <br />Resolution 2006 – 9 This resolution passed with Nay votes from Ms. Ricci and <br />Mr. Glickert. <br /> <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION <br />Introduced by Ms. Brot: <br />BILL 8920 — <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL, <br />BY ENACTING THEREIN A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS “CHAPTER <br />2.41 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TAX BOARD”, CONTAINING A SAVINGS <br />CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
