<br />Mr. Smith asked if curbs would be scrapped if they were not used. <br /> <br />Mr. Alpaslan stated that there were currently granite curbs in this area. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith stated that perhaps a discussion could be held with the history museum to <br />see if they wanted to collaborate regarding the old rail lines. <br /> <br />The group discussed granite curbs and possible ways to salvage the curbing. <br /> <br />Ms. Schmidt summarized the items discussed. <br /> <br />She stated that regarding the curbing, it seemed that all questions could not be <br />answered right now and although the members were not stated it had to be one way or <br />another, they agreed that consistency was important and asked that the design team <br />look into more details and come back. <br /> <br />Regarding the two decorative light fixtures, Ms. Schmidt asked if there were any ideas <br />where they could go. She stated that she agreed they should not be place out in the <br />middle of the space and perhaps other street lighting in the area should be compared. <br /> <br />Mr. Nittler stated that they intend to keep other lighting that is in place. <br /> <br />Ms. Schmidt stated that the plaza is intended to be an open civic space. <br /> <br />The group discussed the relationship of the light standards with other elements in the <br />civic plaza. <br /> <br />Regarding the tracks proposed for vehicle storage, Ms. Schmidt stated that a better <br />understanding of options for other locations was necessary and that the HPC members <br />needed more information. <br /> <br />Ms. Schmidt stated that her understanding of the scope of work regarding curbs and <br />landscaping was that it seemed to be limited. She added that this might not be a <br />question that could be answered now. <br /> <br />Mr. Hubbman stated that they are operating with a fixed number right now. <br /> <br />curbs and the new curbs with planting in the roundabout and nothing else. <br /> <br />Mr. Hubbman stated that they are not that far in the drawings yet. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith stated that although there is a limited budget for the roundabout project, he <br />saw it as a major opportunity also.
