She added that Mr. <br />Cotton brought to Council's attention the fact that a policy may be r~x~ed to <br />deal with the kinds of problems vacations engender. Mr. Cotton said he would <br />be '~ in finding out how many alleys fit the profile of the one being <br />discussed, and what the problems have been in considering vacation. It was recommended that Plastecology be award- <br />ed the contract for its bid of $56,026, second lowest. The low bidder, Util- <br />ity Plastic Recycling, offered only a one year warranty, while Plasteoology <br />offers a five year warranty. The additional $128.50 for Plastecology bins is <br />a bargain price for the extra four years of warranty offered. The City Mana- <br />ger displayed a sample bin and said each household will receive one. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the reccmm~r~ed bid, and Mr. Cotton seconded the <br />motion. <br /> <br />In response to Mrs. Schuman, Mr. Ollendorff said the neighborhoods that will <br />serve as pilot areas have not been chosen yet. <br /> <br />All voted Aye. <br /> <br /> <br />
