Invitations to bid on fur~t~%irg po- <br />lice uniforms for the 1995-96 fiscal year w~re sent to six possible sources, <br />with the following results: <br /> <br />Leeco <br />Universal <br />*Leon Uniforms Bid #1 <br />*Leon Unifora~ Bid #2 <br /> <br />$17,176.70 <br /> 17,101.00 <br /> 19,498.91 <br /> 16,020.70 <br /> <br />*50%wc~anowned. <br /> <br />Ac~ofLeonUnifor~s' low bid (#2) of $16,020.70was reocm~mr~_~d. <br /> <br />Solicitation P~rmit Request - Missouri Public Interest Bssearch Group (#12). <br />Missouri Public Interest Research Group (MoPIRG) applied for its annual soli- <br />citation permit to conduct a door-to-door canvass by paid solicitors who will <br />ask for signature and financial support for the grDup's programs. Canvassing <br />will be done during daylight hours July 5 through July 26, 1995. Approval is <br /> <br />City Hall Fire Flow Water Meter Installation (#13). Bids to remove the ex- <br />istingttndersizedmeterandvaultandto install a newpitandsix inch meter <br />at DelmarandHarvardas requiredbytheWaterCUmpanywereas follows: <br /> <br />Oorrigan Plumbing <br /> <br />$29,187 <br /> 29,485 <br /> 26,600 <br /> <br />Aoc~pta~oe of ~aker Plumbing's low bid of $26,600 was <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the Consent Calendar. Mr. i~a~ sec~ the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. ~ asked that in future Council be provided with the budgeted fig- <br />ures for (km%s~t Calendar items; also, for solicitation permit requests, a <br />statement of the percentage of the funds to be solicited that will be used <br />for the charity in question and are not chargehie as overhead. <br /> <br />1995-96 CITY ~4DGET <br /> <br />The City Manager re~-,,,,~nded that Council adopt the 1995-96 City budget, in- <br />cluding the changes re~-ted by the Mayor and Council during the detailed <br />budget review in the past month. All existing programs will be maintained, <br />and the areas of police presence, recreation programs, and recycling will be <br />substantially improved. <br /> <br />Mrs. Thompson moved approval, with Mr. Sc/%(xaner seconding the motion. Mayor <br />Majerus said the City Manager and his staff have put together a good budget <br />that makes maximum use of the funds citizens pay as taxes. <br /> <br />All voted Aye. <br /> <br /> <br />
