The City has never accepted this property as an <br />alley or had it improved. When the ordinanoe vacating the alley is adopted, <br />it will be recorded and a copy sent to each adjacent owner; this copy should <br />be kept with th~ owner's property papers. <br /> <br />Mrs. Carmen Jo~es, 7135 Northmoor, said the property owners behind her are <br />now using the entire ~-~m~nt for a garage tuzn-around, .and she wished to <br />know if the city will inform them that b~]f of it is her property. Mayor <br />Majerus said w~en Ms. Jones receives a oopy of the vacating ordinance, she <br />can show it to her neighbor. Mr. Ollendorff said each adjacent property <br />owner will will have this document stating the City gave up its interest in <br />the seven and c~e-half feet in favor of the adjacent owner. <br /> <br />Mrs. Gladys Suelflc~, 7249 Northmoor, asked if having this extra property <br />would result in additional taxes owed. Mr. Ollendorff said it was up to the <br />County Assessor's office; however, past experience has shown there was little <br />change in tax assessm~f~, and essentially no change in taxes owed. Ad_d/ng <br />to the frontage would increase the ~ and the taxes, but adding at <br />the back of the property meant little or no change. <br /> <br />Ms. Margarita Mmrres, 7257 Northmoor, had a sketch which she asked Mr. Ollen- <br />dorff to explain, however, Mayor Majerus asked her to speak with him after <br />the meeting. Mr. Ollendorff said alleys are normally 15 feet wide; the half <br />of this alley that was adjacent to Forsyth properties was vacated many years <br />ago, leaving the seven and half feet adjacent to Northnoor properties. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:49 p.m. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman suggested that Northmoor residents who still have questions call <br />Mr. Ollendorff prior to adoption of the vacating ordinance (in two weeks). <br /> <br />The Police D~ report for the month of November, 1994 was received and <br />ordered filed. <br /> <br />The Personnel report for the week ending December 31, 1994 was received and <br />ordered filed. <br /> <br />CITIZEN <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Herzlrix, 1314 Midland Drive, said his neighbor btam two Rottweiler <br />dogs that run loose in the neighborhood, and he is concerned that his chil- <br />children may be hurt. Mayor Majerus said sc~eone can be sent to talk with <br />the owner; also, Mr. Hendrix should immediately call City Hall when the dogs <br /> <br /> <br />
