Session 710, Minutes <br />August 20, 1962 <br /> <br />Page 22 <br /> <br />(Bills for Second Reading. continued): <br /> <br />BILL NO. 5971 - AMENDING ARTICLE 206 BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION <br />(BECTIqN,206,5) PARK POLICE: <br />Bill No. 5971 was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Bill No. 5971 was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Council~-n Epstein moved that Bill No. 5971 be adopted as an Ordinance. <br />Hotion seconded by Councilman Grimm. Upon roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: AYES: Councilmen Baris, Grimm, Epstein, Tandler and Hayor <br />Eaufiuan. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Councilman Soule. The motion therefore <br />carried and Bill No. 5971 was adopted as Ordinance No. 3922. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 5972 - AMENDING ARTICLE 1009 (SECTION 1009.3) RELATING TO TWO- <br />HOUR PA~KING: <br />Bill No. 5972 was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Bill No. 5972 was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Councilman Tandler moved that Bill No. 5972 be adopted as an Ordinance. <br />Motion seconded by Councilman Epstein. Upon roll call, the following vote <br />was recorded: AYES: Councilmen Baris, Grimm, Epstein, Tandler and Hayor <br />Kaufman. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Councilman Soule. The motion therefore <br />carried and Bill No, 5972 was adopted as Ordinance No. 3923. <br /> <br />BILL NO~ 5973 - APPROVING PLAT OF FOREST ESTATES SUBDIVISION: <br />Upon inquiry by Hayor Eau/man, the City Hanager stated that up to this <br />time the applicant has not furnished the required bond and has requested <br />the matter be held over. <br /> <br />Action on Bill No. 5973 was deferred. <br /> <br />BILLS FO~ INTRODUCTION: <br />None o <br /> <br />_MISCELLA~OUS: <br /> <br />IMPROVE~NTOF ORCHARDAVENUE: <br />Hayor Kaufman inquired of the City Manager as to when bids are to be re- <br />ceived in connection with improvement of Orchard Avenue, and the City <br />Manager stated it is hoped they will be received before the end of this <br />month. <br /> <br />PROHIBITION OF TRUCKS ON MIT.!.~ROOK BOULEVARD: <br />Hayor Kaufman inquired of the CityManager whether there is a prohibition <br />of trucks using Millbrook Boulevard and he said he recalls that the City <br />of St. Louis was going to place a limitation on trucks using the Express- <br />way - he added he doesn't know whether it is good or bad or whether the <br />City should or should not, but he thinks perhaps this is the best time to <br />consider it. City H~nager Henry expressed the view that he thinks the <br />City should, and also should establish restrictions prohibiting parking <br />along the entire route, Hayor Kaufman suggested the administrative <br />forces dzaft all appropriate ordinances covering bus stops and the <br /> <br /> <br />
