Roll call vote was:
Ayes: Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe
Nays: Mr. Kraft, Mr. Glickert
Abstain: Mayor Welsch

Crime prevention and awareness forums by patrol zones or wards

Mr. Price said this item was conceptual and was lumped unto the first item.

Fund block unit community organizer

Mr. Price stated that for a brief period in the past there was an individual who
worked to organize a community block unit. He said that person’s role would
help promote and organize block units. Mr. Price said the amount of time and
workload would last around ten years and he asked the City Manager to
research to see if it would be possible to hire on a contracted basis. He also
noted that this was an action item in the police report.

Fund additional surveillance cameras in the Loop

Mr. Price asked for a vote to fund four additional surveillance cameras in the
Loop. He said Mr. Walker sent a notice to Council that the cameras would cost
around $10,000 each.

Mr. Price moved to have Mr. Walker give Council full details with the total cost
of four additional surveillance cameras in the Loop which was suggested by the
Chief Adams report.

Mr. Kraft called Point of Order because the Council did not have to vote on a
request for Mr. Walker to provide information.

Mr. Price said he wanted a roll call vote to see who supported the motion.

Mr. Kraft stated Point of Order again stating that it would be a roll call vote on
nothing.

Mr. Sharpe stated that the motion was to vote on four additional cameras in the
Loop.

Mr. Kraft said that motion would be Out of Order because that was a budget
resolution and it did not say how much.

Mr. Price asked Mr. Kraft to do his homework because he was tired of him
coming to meetings unprepared.

Mr. Kraft stated Point of Personal Attack.

Mayor Welsch suggested that the Council move forward with other members of
the council.

Mr. Kraft asked if the City Manager could speak on the camera cost issue.

14
