He said <br />the Chief of Police and Captain Jackson stated that those cameras were very <br />valuable in taking care of critical areas in the City. He said that according to <br />what he saw and Mr. Price witnessed was something that the Council should <br />move on now. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr asked Mr. Walker about an attachment to an email that included a <br />contract and wanted to know if that would be the contract they are approving. <br />Mr. Walker said yes. <br /> <br />Roll call vote was: <br />Ayes: Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Glickert, Mr. Sharpe <br />Abstain: Mayor Welsch <br /> <br />The motion carried with Mayor Welsch abstaining. <br /> <br /> Police crime prevention and awareness meetings <br /> <br />Mr. Price stated to Mayor Welsch that nobody said she could not be involved in <br />public safety with the citizens of University City. He said he believed she <br />chose not to be involved. He said this was an open invitation for her to be <br />involved. Mr. Price said the crime prevention and awareness meetings and a <br />taskforce issue was that we already have the police focus group. Mr. Price <br />said the Police Chief recommended that people needed to become more <br />aware of what they needed to do to protect person and property. The City <br />could have meetings in different zones related to where the schools were and <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
