<br />Questions/Comments from Commission members and responses included: <br /> <br />- There was concern expressed about the relocation of the large light fixtures and <br />the idea that it would just be figured out later. Mr. Nittler stated that the lights <br />were shown where the Department of Public Works and Parks staff suggested <br />they be located. <br />- Commission members asked if they would review this project again. Mr. <br />Greatens stated they would because under the powers and duties of the HPC, <br />they would review and recommend on the Conditional Use Permit. He stated <br />that the applicants have submitted an application for a Conditional use Permit. <br /> <br />Mr. Campion asked for clarification about the additional HPC meeting. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti stated that the application for a Conditional Use Permit must be reviewed by <br />the HPC and their recommendation forwarded to the Plan Commission. <br /> <br />The Chairperson stated that some members of the public requested to speak on this <br />agenda item. <br /> <br />Ms. Elsie Glickert 6712 Etzel Avenue <br />Ms. Glickert stated that the Transportation Development District was voted on by 15 <br />landowners along Delmar Boulevard and by Washington University, so 16 people were <br />telling the University City they had to have this trolley. She stated the trolley would <br />desecrate the Historic Plaza. She stated she was opposed to the arrangement with the <br />proposed trolley stub in front of the Public Library. She added that there was an <br />underground pedestrian passageway west of Kingsland which had not been discussed. <br />She stated that Federal funds were supporting the trolley project and a Section 106 <br />review was required. <br /> <br /> <br />b. Discussion Delmar-Harvard School Building: request from staff to obtain <br />informal feedback from the Historic Preservation Commission on possible <br />redevelopment scenarios. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti stated that this discussion item had been brought to the HPC and an <br />informational item to obtain informal feedback. She stated that the Delmar-Harvard <br />School building was in the Civic Plaza Historic District and the building was for sale from <br />the School District. She added that the School District had engaged the services of a <br />commercial real estate agency and that interested parties had been made aware that <br />any change would have to be brought to the HPC for review and recommendation. She <br />stated that informal feedback was sought and no formal opinion or vote was requested. <br /> <br />Matt Bukhshtaber with CBRE, representing the University City School District in the sale <br />of the building, addressed the Commission.
