<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />BILLS <br /> Introduced by Mr. Sharpe <br />1. BILL 9180 – An ordinance of University City, Missouri, reaffirming the license tax to be <br />imposed on the gross receipts of business supplying or furnishing electricity or gas <br />service corporation conducting business within the City and matters related thereto; <br />CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br />Bill 9180 had three readings. <br /> <br /> Ms. Carr moved for approval and was seconded by Mr. Sharpe. <br /> <br /> Mr. Crow asked why this bill came with an emergency clause and if it was because the <br />City did not receive something in time. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated that was correct. He said the City did not receive the proper notice <br />and therefore it was brought forward as an emergency since it was time sensitive. <br /> <br /> Mr. Crow asked if the notice came from St. Louis County or from the State. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker asked the Finance Director Tina Charumilind to address Mr. Crow’s <br />question. <br /> <br /> Ms. Charumilind stated that the notice came from Ameren UE who sends it to the <br />State of Missouri and they circulated the notice to the municipalities. <br /> <br /> Mr. Crow asked if it came through St. Louis County at all. Ms. Charumilind said it did <br />not. <br /> <br /> Roll call vote was: <br /> Ayes: Mr. Price, Ms. Carr, Mr. Kraft, Mr. Crow, Mr. Sharpe, and Mayor Welsch <br /> Nays: <br /> <br />N NEW BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />None <br /> <br />BILLS <br />Introduced by Mr. Sharpe <br /> <br />1.Bill 9178 – An ordinance amending Title 9 “Public peace, morals and welfare,” Chapter <br />9.08 “Offenses against public peace and decency: of the Municipal code of University <br />City by enacting a new section relative to protests at funerals. <br /> <br />Introduced by Mr. Price <br />2. Bill 9179 – An ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into a user agreement <br />with the St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission (ECC) for <br />subscriber radios interoperable radio system. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> <br />
