In re- <br />sponse to Mr. William, Mr. OllerrkE~f said if a pro~ owner takes posses- <br />sic~ he should ~ntain his portic~ of the ~nt. Resting to Mr. Wil- <br />1]am~, the Mayor said it will be at ]~t a mnnth before Council takes any <br />action, and since there s~_--m~a to be a great n'~l of uncertainty, she felt <br /> <br />moved; however, the main issue is a crime problen, and the ~ has been <br />an avenue of escape or a place to hide _bec~__use of overt. S~e said the <br />requested actice transcends m~re i~uperty improvement; it has to do with pre- <br />vention. Also, renters will not want to _~m~ the euq~/lse of moving fences, <br />and owners cannot always be reached; she felt the City should at least fexx~ <br />off the ~ent ends to e3{m~nate undesirable traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. 011endorff recognized Ms. Mary Anne Shaw of U. City in Bloom, who said <br /> <br />are very serious about this matter and will work hard to resolve it. She had <br />grave concerns that the e~nt's current condition is a threat to tb~ area, <br />and she wuuld like to ~ the City do as much as it can to help this neigh- <br /> <br />Ms. Dor~ Meltcn, 8305 Seville, asked if the I~uFarty will be a gift and if <br />it will be taxed. Mayor Majerus said it is a gift. Mr. 011endarff said if <br />the pLuperty owner accepts the land, the assessor will change the records. <br />Usually, there are no tax c~nsequences, however, that cannot be ~mrant._eed__. <br /> <br />The public hearing was clcred at 8:08 p.m. <br /> <br />In response to Mr. ~, Mr. Ollendorff said the City can ~L~nt two of the <br />three neighborhoe~ requests, but it may not be able to add or move fencing. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus felt there must be more a~,~icn between the neig~lbors and <br />the City before asking for the pmeparaticn of an bill vacating this p~uperty. <br />Mr. 011endorff said he would meet with residents, walk with then throu~ the <br />alley to see what r~a~ to be d~ne, then report back to the Council.
