SECOND OUAKi'~a< BUDG~i' TRANS~'~S The City Manager requested approval of second c~ter budget transfers in or- der to maintain a balanced budget. ~]lere will be a net increase in revenues and expenditures of $99,158. ~he Building Improvement Fund will be reduced by $4,250 for pool repairs, and the Street Reserve will decrease by $46,316 for street repairs. Mr. ~aams moved approval, Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. STRkEr~FjRC~ASE The City Manager rec~u~ended purchasing a 1988 Elgin street sweeper from Key Equipment for $11,000. A new sweeper costs about $80,000. This will replace the machine that broke down several months ago and could not be repaired at a reasonable cost. The reoa~ealded ~ has been thoroughly checked; in ad- dition, the City has been unable to locate other used machines at cc~le price or ?m] ity. Mr. A~a~ moved approval. Mr. Schoceer seccraed the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Ollendorff asked that another item (following) be added to the agenda. Mr. ~a~ms so moved, seconded by Mrs. Schuman, and carried unanimously.
