Session 1770 November 22, 1999 during the summer. They would like the hours to be returned to 6 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on weekends and holidays. These hours were switched to an opening of 7 a.m. at some point, but she is not sure why. The earlier hour opening is more conducive with many swimmer's jobs. Upon questioning from Mayor Adams, Mr. Lieberman, as Park Commission liaison, said that this issue had not ever been brought up. Mr. Lieberman recommended that Ms. Louie bring this issue to the Park Commission's attention tomorrow evening. Mr. Schoomer asked that this issue be formally referred to the Park Commission with the suggestion from the Council. Mayor Adams told Ms. Louie to give her information to Mr. Rose and he would see that it gets placed in the Park Commission members packets. CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: 1. The bill was assigned number 8443 and given its first reading. 2. A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquilt, entitled: AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM AND AFTER DECEMBER 22, 1999, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6204. The bill was assigned number 8444 and given its first reading. MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: Mr. Munkel wanted Mr. Rose to convey his concurrence on the addition of a Chief Medical Officer Position. He was impressed that the Chief and his staff would recommend this position. He believes the justification for the position was well thought out and that they did a good job in preparing it.
