These hours were switched to an opening of <br />7 a.m. at some point, but she is not sure why. The earlier hour opening is more conducive <br />with many swimmer's jobs. Upon questioning from Mayor Adams, Mr. Lieberman, as Park <br />Commission liaison, said that this issue had not ever been brought up. Mr. Lieberman <br />recommended that Ms. Louie bring this issue to the Park Commission's attention tomorrow <br />evening. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer asked that this issue be formally referred to the Park Commission with the <br />suggestion from the Council. A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquilt, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CITY <br />OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM AND AFTER <br />DECEMBER 22, 1999, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6204. <br /> <br />The bill was assigned number 8444 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel wanted Mr. Rose to convey his concurrence on the addition of a Chief Medical <br />Officer Position. He was impressed that the Chief and his staff would recommend this <br />position. He believes the justification for the position was well thought out and that they <br />did a good job in preparing it. <br /> <br /> <br />
