SECTION 2: PROGRAM OR PROJECT INFORMATION

3.
Program or Project Summary (attach additional sheets if necessary)

design and engineering
This is a detailed description of the project.

1. Planning
1.1. Map the existing hand hole locations and the adjacent parcels wi
planned for them (this info from Client) on an aerial photo base
connection from the Forrest Park Metro to the Metro Communicatio
1.2. Obtain building owner contact information from the Client so field desi
1.3. Layout assumed laterals to all parcels whose owners are part of
with the Client. (Assume 12 initial clustered laterals, 2 nonclterals and the Metro
connection). Apply clustering from a single lateral (by inside
walls) where possible and practical.
Assume one trip will be necessary to accomplish the initial 14 l
1.4. Obtain concurrence from Client on the preliminary design.
1.5. Provide an estimate of probable cost for the approved preliminary design.

2. Field Design
2.1. Note: the Client will contact each building owner/manager who h
initial build and meet them on site to perform a building walk-through to establish their
preferred entry location and ISP routing. When possible/practic
requests. Do same for the Metro station manager.
2.2. Design the lateral OSP and ISP conduit routings to serve each business connected to the 12
laterals and Metro station. Also, design the two nonclustered c
clustered laterals, include the building entry location, inside
penetration locations and location of the patch panels and grounding cable to building
All design shall be per applicable code and shall be detailed en
with accurate quantities for bidding. The Missouri State One-Call system will be initiated and
utilities that are located will be incorporated in the design.
evidence of existing underground utilities and place those on th
will be coordinated to avoid existing utilities to the extent they are known and or/discovered.
Actual potholes of underground utilities will not be performed i
done by the contractor prior to beginning any construction.

3. Office Design and Drawings
3.1. Provide a cabling plan that shows the type and size of fiber opt
backbone conduit (along the Trolley track, existing) and spliced
runs to the patch panels. Assume a 12ct in the laterals to the patch panel.
3.2. Produce construction drawings for the lateral OSP runs and the i
the patch panels. Provide quantities, notes and details to adeq
to the contractor. Include a cable/splice plan. Sho
scale-accurate maps that utilize the trolley track design as base maps

3.3. Assign a number for each lateral and plan to place it in a packaor
construction to match when the trolley track (and associated con
available and the street/sidewalks opened.

4. Construction Coordination
4.1. Work with the Client to determine who will construct the lateral
The Loop Media Hub
