He said those in
the cammunity must became more actively involved in recycling in order to pro-
vide a better future for everyone. He also said that the Student Council was
interested in recycling additional items such as large plastic containers, but
did not have the resources at present to be involved in a project requiring
large storage areas. He urged the City to encourage more recycling.
Mayor Majerus thanked Mr. Stulac and suggested that he talk further with the
City Manager or Public Works Director, who may be able to provide additional
information with regard to increasing the recycling projects at Flynn Park.
Mrs. Schuman said that one of the most difficult obstacles in establishing
successful recycling in any community was educating the public, and particu-
larly young people, to recycling. By starting early, the community will be
set for a successful program by the time recycling becomes a necessity. She
was delighted to see this program under way at Flynn Park.
AMM vfLk'ej "S tAO NItâ–º
SITE PLAN EXTENSION - 7267 OLIVE SHEET ROAD
The City Manager recommended approval of a six-month extension for the site
plan previously accepted by the Council for a small shopping center on the
Dubman property, 7267 Olive, subject to building permit fees being paid in
full by February 8, 1990.
Mr. Wagner moved approval, including the condition.
