He also asked the City Manager to <br /> consider the current application in effect until this matter is resolved so <br /> there will be no challenge to the group's occupancy of the building. Mrs. <br /> Thomson seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mayor Majerus noted that she was not inclined to favor granting a nine-month <br /> extension, and hoped the group could resolve this matter within six months. <br /> RAND CHAMPION REFUSE CONTAINER LIDS <br /> The City Manager said price information was obtained for Rand Champion refuse <br /> container lids from Key Equipment Company, the exclusive Rand cb 1 er in this <br /> area, as follows: <br /> 30 each 3 cu.yd. Roto-Molded lid assemblies, complete $3,979.20 <br /> 20 each 1 1/2 cu.yd. Roto-Molded lid assemblies, complete 2,495.20 <br /> 50 each 3 cu.yd. Roto-Molded lids 1,727.50 <br /> 1 lot Approximate shipping 150.00 <br /> Total $8,361.90 <br /> Acceptance of this bid from Key Equipment Coargpany was recommended. <br /> Mrs. Thompson wished to know what kind of container the lids were to be used <br /> on, and where the containers are located. Mr. 011endorff said these lids are <br /> to be used with the dumpsters in the City's alleys, noting that the lids get <br /> dented and worn out faster than the dumpsters themselves. <br /> Mr. Schocaner moved approval, Mr. Adams seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> PERSONNEL REPORT <br /> The Personnel report for the week ending September 8, 1990 was received and <br /> ordered filed. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> The Police Department report for the month of August, 1990 was received and <br /> ordered filed. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Mr. Charles Anthony, 7325 Lindell Boulevard, said he has spent time working <br /> with the elderly and poor, and he recently became aware of a situation involv- <br /> ing the City which he hoped could be rectified. His elderly parents' home was <br /> recently cited for a number of building violations, and while not questioning <br /> the need for the corrections, he objected to the way the situation was handled <br /> (me and thought his parents were treated badly. He spoke with an inspector who he <br /> said was curt and not understanding of the situation with his parents, and al- <br /> so not realistic about what was being demanded.
