Session 1533, Minutes Page 9 <br /> (Me December 10, 1990 <br /> setting out goals, objectives, and timetables, and finally, she wanted to see <br /> City Hall take a greater leadership role in paper recycling and purchasing <br /> recycled office products. <br /> Mayor Majerus said she was used to University City being in the forefront of <br /> recycling, and she felt that other communities were naw jumping on the band- <br /> wagon and that perhaps University Citians had became somewhat complacent. <br /> She asked councilmembers to submit names to her for the task force, and said <br /> others interested in serving should submit their names to the City Clerk. <br /> The tack force will have a deadline for making their recommendations to Coun- <br /> cil, and Council will have a deadline for following through on the sugges- <br /> tions. She wanted University City to continue as the very best in recycling. <br /> PERSONNEL REPORT <br /> The Personnel report for the week ending December 8, 1990, was received and <br /> ordered filed. <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> The Police Department report for the month of October, 1990, was received and <br /> ordered filed. <br /> BITTS FOR THIRD READING <br /> BILL NO. 7989 (AS AMENDED) - APPROVING A REDEVELOPMENT PLAN AND PROJECTS FOR <br /> A CERTAIN AREA DESCRIBED HEREIN AND MAKING FINDS RELArJ1) THERETO. <br /> Bill No. 7989 (as amended) was given its third reading. <br /> Mr. Price moved that this bill be adopted as an ordinance. Mrs. Thompson <br /> seconded the motion. Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYES: <br /> Councilmembers Price, Adams, Wagner, Schuman, Schoomer, Thompson, and Mayor <br /> Majerus. NAYS: None. Bill No. 7989 (as amended) became Ordinance No. 5779. <br /> BILL NO. 7990 (AS AMENDED) - DESIGNATING A PORTION OF UNIVERSITY CITY A REDE- <br /> VELOPMENT PROJECT AREA PURSUANT TO THE MISSOURI TAX INCREMENT ALLOCATION FI- <br /> NANCING ACT, MAKING FINDINGS RELATED THERETO, ADOPTING TAX INCREMENT ALLOCA- <br /> TION FINANCING, AND AUTHORIZING THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING COMMIISSION OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS. <br /> Bill No. 7990 (as amended) was given its third reading. <br /> Mr. Wagner moved that this bill be adopted as an ordinance.
