Mayor Pro Ten N~m~ said he would not a~h~te the matter of ugliness, <br />and said the bills allow overnight street parking for trucks within a certain <br />size range only if the owner b~- a permit and no other place to park. Other- <br />wise, owners may park in the driveways if they have them. Mr. May felt the <br /> <br />Respora~ng to Mr. Price, Mr. Ollendorff said it was correct that a truck own- <br />er would he violating the law if he parked on the street between 2 and 6 a.m <br />if he has a driveway in which to park. Mr. Price felt a certain a~cr~m~na- <br />tion against truck owners existed ~ scee in the City. He said there were <br />many u~ citizens who use t~ucks as their personal vehicles end they <br />have the same rights as others. He agAued that larcjer trucks should not be <br />allowed to park overnight. <br /> <br />Mr. James Brown, 1139 Mount Olive, asked ~ the truck parking bills will he <br />approved. Mayor Pro Tern ~4~ said they will probably be v~ed on at the <br />next meeting, June 21. Mrs. Schtmkln poin~a cut the bills do not change any <br />of the things previously ~-~<mssed but merely incorporate the original reccm~ <br />mendaticms of the Plan O~'.~..{~sion, with the only difference the change in <br />truck length fAUU 200 inches to 18 feet.
