Session 1788 <br />July 10, 2000 <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8477 - ORDERING THE LEVY AND FIXING THE RATE OF TAXES <br />TO BE COLLECTED IN UNIVERSITY CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000- <br />2001, TO PROVIDE FOR GENERAL REVENUE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A FREE PUBLIC LIBRARY AND <br />READING ROOM. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved adoption. Ms. Colquirt seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as <br />follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Schoomer, Ms. Colquitt and Mayor Adams. <br />NAYS: none. Bill Number 8477 passed and became Ordinance 6256. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8478 - ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TAX FOR THE UNIVERSITY <br />CITY LOOP SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SO THAT THE ADDITIONAL TAX <br />ON THE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001 SHALL BE <br />SEVENTY-FIVE CENTS ($.75) PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) <br />ASSESSED VALUATION. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved adoption. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. <br />Wagner, Mr. Schoomer, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. <br />Bill No. 8478 was approved and became Ordinance No. 6257. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8479 - ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TAX FOR THE PARKVIEW <br />GARDENS SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SO THAT THE ADDITIONAL TAX <br />ON THE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001 SHALL BE <br />SEVENTY-NINE CENTS ($.79) PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) <br />ASSESSED VALUATION. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Ms. Colquitt moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Schoomer wished to call the attention of the Council and the general public <br />that this tax is not assessable against the Washington U. properties and will <br />vanish from our revenues. <br /> <br /> <br />
