Session 1784
May 22, 2000

AGENDA ITEM #4 - LIQUOR LICENSE TRANSFER - 8159 OLIVE:

The 7-Eleven Corp. has applied to take back the license to sell beer and wine by the
package at retail. Mr. Ollendorff recommends approval since the company has typically
operated in a legal manner. The most recent transfer was approved by City Council last
November so no additional investigation was deemed necessary.

Mr. Sharpe moved approval. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion.

Mr. Munkel noticed that the application has checked liquor not more than 22% and he
wondered if this is what the current license is for. Mr. Ollendorff believes so, because it
means beer and wine, but he will check to make sure.

Responding to Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Ollendorff said that nothing has come to his attention as
far as any new complaints or police incidents. Since this is going back to the corporation, a
new police investigation was not requested, so he can not say that there have been no
police incidents - but nothing that have come to his attention. The third ward
Councilmembers reported that they have had no complaints either.

Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendofff reported that he did not know why this was
reverting back to the corporation.

Mr. Wagner said that this should be approved because this site has long had a package
liquor operation here. But his support of this in no way should be generalized that we want
a whole lot of package liquor stores coming in to the City. Council policy will continue to
be very strict as far as approving these package liquor permits.

The motion passed unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM #5 - AT&T FCC FORMS 1240 AND 1205:

Mr. Ollendorff recommends acceptance of AT&T's FCC Forms 1240 and 1205, representing
its annual filing adjustments to the basic service, equipment, and installation prices. Staff
has completed its review of both forms and everything seems to be in order and consistent
with federal requirements. Approval of the forms will result in a slight increase in cost for
installation, a slight decrease in the price for antenna basic cable, and equipment rates
remain the same. Rates for extended basic cable were not provided and are not required to
be under Federal Communication Commission regulations.

Mr. Wagner moved approval. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

6
