Session 1790 <br />August 7, 2000 <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved the reappointments of Mr. Dale Hermeling and Mr. Eric Sandweiss to <br />the Historic Preservation Commission for terms ending September 9, 2003. Mr. Lieberman <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Munkel stated that he had served with both of these gentlemen <br />on the Historic Preservation Commission and believes that they are fine assets to this <br />commission. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR (7 ITEMS): <br /> <br />#1 - Picnic Licluor License - Christ the Kin~ School: The Council may approve a license to <br />sell all types of intoxicating beverages by the drink at Christ the King School on Balson near <br />Purdue on November 4, 2000. This annual event has been very well received and presents <br />no problems for the neighborhood. <br /> <br />#2 - Bid Tabulation - City Calendars: Bids for printing the 2001 City Calendar have been <br />received. Ten printers were invited to submit bids. The Public Relations Department will <br />be utilizing a four color printing process for the 2001 University City Calendars. The bid <br />results are as follow: <br /> <br />Swift Printing .......................... $11,866.00 <br />Valcour Printing ........................ $14,825.00 <br />Western Press ......................... $11,200.00 <br />Publication Printing ...................... $12,967.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends awarding the contract to Western Press for their low bid of <br />$11,200.00 which is within budget. <br /> <br />#3 - Memorandum of Understanding: Firefighters and Paramedic Firefi;~hters, Fire <br />Captains and Paramedic Captains; Mr. Ollendorff recommends formal approval of the <br />agreements with the Firefighters Union. Changes from last year include increases in <br />compensation, clothing allowance, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and annual leave. <br />All items were previously approved by Council as part of the Budget or the Compensation <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />#4 - Picnic LkTuor License - Amateur Athletic Association: This organization requests a <br />permit to sell beer at a fundraising event at the Heman Park Community Center, 975 <br />Pennsylvania, on September 9, 2000. Approval is recommended since all requirements <br />appear to be met and previous licenses at this location have not resulted in any problems. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
