Session 1790 <br />August 7, 2000 <br /> <br />#5 - Picnic Liquor Licenses - Loop in Motion: Council may approve picnic liquor licenses <br />for October 13, 14, and 15 forthe Loop in Motion festival. The Loop Community <br />Foundation will sell beer and wine at three locations on Delmar between Leland and <br />Kingsland. This license has been granted for several years with no adverse consequences. <br /> <br />#6 - Public Hearin~ - WideOpenWest Cable Franchise Application: Mr. Ollendorff <br />recommends scheduling a public hearing for August 21, 7:30 p.m. in these Council <br />Chambers to hear public comment on the application for a cable franchise agreement <br />submitted by WideOpenWest Missouri, LLC. An application was received from <br />WideOpenWest on July 27, 2000 and filed with the City Clerk for public review. The City <br />ordinance regulating cable television franchise agreements requires that the City Council <br />hold a public hearing on any completed application filed. At Council's direction notice of <br />the public hearing will be posted in two local newspapers, on our website, at the library, <br />and on the bulletin board here at City Hall. <br /> <br />#7 - Aerial Lift Truck: Invitations for Bid were sent to eight vendors to furnish a <br />replacement Aerial Lift Truck for the City Garage. The following responses were received: <br /> <br />Don Brown Chevrolet ..................... $47,995.00 <br />Powerli ne Equipment Co ................... $54,108.00 <br />Feld Chevrolet ......................... $48,549.00 <br />F&C Truck ............................ $48,297.00 <br />Auffenberg Chevrolet ..................... $47,198.00 <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommends the order be awarded to Auffenberg Chevrolet for their low net <br />bid of $47,198.00. Sufficient funds are available in the Central Garage Fund. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2 - CONDITIONAL USE AT 7498 DELMAR: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendofff concurs with the Plan Commission and Planning staff recommendation that <br />a conditional use permit be approved to use 7498 Delmar as a convenience store/gasoline <br />station provided a number of conditions are accepted by the applicant.
