Session 1791 <br />August 21, 2000 <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ollendorff responded that each of these businesses are <br />aware and have no objections to the assumption of this property. Mr. Lieberman asked if <br />this area being described by the City Manager is the area that the residents were concerned <br />about. Mr. Ollendorff stated that most of it is in this area he is describing. <br /> <br />Mr. Gregory Rose, Assistant City Manager, stated that the City has made several <br />improvements in the area. They cut the brush down and added lighting. The commercial <br />owners were made aware that maintenance of the vacated property would be required. Mr. <br />Rose believes that closing this area in conjunction with the earlier stated improvements will <br />satisfy the residents. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved to amend the second paragraph, 1st sentence under Section 1, to read <br />24 feet wide and 320 feet long, second sentence should read 140 feet south of the south <br />right-of-way line of Bartruer Ave. approximately 320 feet southwardly to the north right-of- <br />way line of Olive Blvd. The last paragraph, 2nd sentence under Section 1 should read that <br />the land area contained within the parcel is approximately 7,680 square feet or 0.179 <br />acres, more or less. Ms. Colquitt seconded the amendment, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a roll call vote on this bill as amended: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. <br />Lieberman, Mr. Sharpe, Ms. Colquirt and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill No. 8486 was <br />approved unanimously and became Ordinance No. 6264. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8487 - AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION <br />10.36.150 THEREOF, RELATING TO LEFT TURNS PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS AT ALL TIMES OR DURING DESIGNATED HOURS, AND ENACTING IN <br />LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 10.36.150 LEFT <br />TURNS PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS AT ALL TIMES OR DURING <br />DESIGNATED HOURS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ADD A <br />PROHIBITION ON LEFT TURNS TO OLIVE BOULEVARD FROM THE PRIVATE <br />DRIVEWAY AT 6950 OLIVE BOULEVARD; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br />PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion. AYES: Mr. Lieberman, Mr. <br />Sharpe, Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mayor Adams. NAYS.. none.
