Session 1791 August 21, 2000 4. BILL NO. 8488 - AMENDING CHAPTER 8.12 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL, BY REPEALING SECTION 8.12.200 THEREOF, RELATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF REFUSE COLLECTION CHARGES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 8.12.200 SCHEDULE OF REFUSE COLLECTION CHARGES," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO INCREASE MONTHLY REFUSE RATES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2000; CONTAINING SAVING AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSES, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. Mr. Munkel introduced a bill, entitled: BILL NO. 8489 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TAX FOR THE UNIVERSITY CITY LOOP SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SO THAT THE ADDITIONAL TAX ON THE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000- 2001 SHALL BE SEVENTY-FOUR CENTS ($.74) PER ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00) ASSESSED VALUATION; AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE.
