BILL NO. 8488 - AMENDING CHAPTER 8.12 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL, BY <br /> REPEALING SECTION 8.12.200 THEREOF, RELATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF <br /> REFUSE COLLECTION CHARGES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br /> SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 8.12.200 SCHEDULE OF REFUSE <br /> COLLECTION CHARGES," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO <br /> INCREASE MONTHLY REFUSE RATES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2000; <br /> CONTAINING SAVING AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSES, AND PROVIDING A <br /> PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved to defeat. Mr. Munkel introduced a bill, entitled: <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8489 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL TAX FOR <br />THE UNIVERSITY CITY LOOP SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT SO THAT THE <br />ADDITIONAL TAX ON THE REAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2000- <br />2001 SHALL BE SEVENTY-FOUR CENTS ($.74) PER ONE HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($100.00) ASSESSED VALUATION; AND CONTAINING AN <br />EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8489. <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr, Lieberman moved adoption.
