O <br /> <br />jobs for the community and add to the tax base~ to improve the <br />circulation of vehicular and pedestrian traffic by providing <br />separate channels for each category of movementl to provide other <br />necessary public improvements such as off-street parking areas and <br />recreational facilities| to encourage private investment in the <br />rehabilitation and rebuilding of apartment dwellings| and to <br />eliminate those features inimical to the health, safety and general <br />welfare of the residents and business occupants. <br /> <br />C. Types of Proposed Renewal Actions. <br /> <br />To achieve these objectives, the Plan cbnsists of a combined <br />program of clearance and redevelopment, rehabilitation and <br />improvement of public facilities. <br /> <br />1. Clearance and Redevelopment. Clearance and redevelopmerit <br /> activities will include= <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />The acquisition of real property and improvements and the <br />demolition and/or removal of structures according to a <br />staging plan. <br /> <br />b) The relocation of families and business establishments <br /> displaced by the Plan. <br /> <br />c) The disposition of land for redevelopmerit in accordance <br /> with all the standards and requirements of the Plan. <br /> <br />2. Rehabilitation. Rehabilitation activities will include| <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Enforcement of Property Rehabilitation Standards on <br />Residential and Non-residential structures. as set forth in <br />the Plan, Exhibit C. hereof. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Enforcement of land use regulations and controls on <br />residential and non-residential structures, as set forth in <br />the Plan, Section II, B, hereof. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Provision of technical assistance to property owners to <br />facilitate and stimulate rehabilitation beyond minimum <br />standards. <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Acquisition of property which is not made to conform to <br />Property Rehabilitation Standards and Land Use Regulations <br />and Controls, and disposition thereof upon terms insuring <br />improvement of said ~roperty to conform with said Property <br />Rehabilitation Standards and Land Use Regulations and <br />Controls. <br /> <br />Improvement of Public Facilities and Utilities. The entire <br />Urban Renewal area will be adequately served by public <br />facilities and utilities.
