SPECIAL USE AND OCCUPANCY REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />SECTION 621.0 MOBILE UNITS <br /> <br />621.1 General: Mobile units, including mobile homes, travel trailers and <br />truck trailers, shall not be occupied or used for storage purposes unless the <br />mobile unit is placed on a permanent foundation and complies with the require- <br />ments of this section. <br /> <br />Exception: Temporary site office and storage facilities in <br />connection with construction operations for a limited period <br />of time as approved by the building official. <br /> <br />621.2 Construction: All mobile units shall be designed and constructed in <br />accordance with the requirements of this code. Prefabricated construction <br />shall be evaluated, inspected and labeled in-plant in accordance with Section <br />115.2.3. <br /> <br />SECTION 624.0 RADIO AND TELEVISION ANTENNAE <br /> <br />624.3 Dish Antennae: An antenna consisting of a radiation element which <br />transmits or receives radiation signals generated as electrical, light or <br />sound energy, and supported by a structure which may or max not provide a <br />reflective component to the radiating dish, usually in a circular shape with a <br />parabolic curve design constructed of a solid or open mesh surface, shall be <br />known as a dish antenna. <br /> <br />624.3.1 Permits: The approval of the code official shall be secured for all <br />dish antenna structures more than 2 feet (610 mm) in diameter. A permit is <br />not required for dish antennae not more than 2 feet (610 mm) in diameter. <br /> <br />624.3.2 Structural Provisions: Dish antenna larger than 2 feet (610 mm) in <br />diameter shall be subject to structural provisions of Sections 623.4, 1111.0 <br />and 1112.0. The snow load provisions of Section 1111.0 shall not apply where <br />the antenna has a heater to melt falling snow. <br /> <br />SECTION 625.0 SWIMMING POOLS <br /> <br />625.9 Swimming pool safety devices: Every person owning land on which there <br />is situated a swimming pool, which'contains 24 inches (610 mm) or more of <br />water in depth at any point, shall erect and maintain thereon an adequate <br />enclosure either surrounding the property or pool area, sufficient to make <br />such body of water inaccessible to small children. Such enclosure, including <br />gates therein, shall be not less than 4 feet (1219 mm) above the underlying <br />ground. All gates shall be self-closing and self-latching with latches placed <br />4 feet (1219 mm) above the underlying ground and otherwise made inaccessible <br />from the outside to small children. <br /> <br />A natural barrier, hedge, pool cover or other protective device approved by <br />the governing body shall be an acceptable enclosure so long as the degree of <br />protection afforded by the substituted devices or structures is not less than <br />the protection afforded by the enclosure, gate and latch described herein. <br />Above-ground pools that are a minimum of four (4) feet above grade on all <br />sides and are accessible only by a removable ladder need not provide the <br />protective enclosure; however, the ladder most be removed when the pool is not <br />in use. <br /> <br />FIRE RESISTIVE CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />SECTION 921.0 FIRESTOPPING AND DRAFTSTOPPING <br /> <br />921.7.1.1 Use Groups R-1 and R-2: In' buildings of Use Groups R-1 and R-2, <br />draftstopping shall be in line with the tenant separation walls when the walls <br />do not extend to the floor sheathing above. <br /> <br />Exception: Where the space above a ceiling is of combustible <br />construction and the building is sprinklered above and below the <br />ceiling, the draftstopping is not required. <br /> <br /> <br />
