direct or regulate traffic or to make arrest for <br />violation of traffic regulations. <br /> <br />Private Road or Driveway: Every road or driveway <br />not open to the use of the public for purposes of <br />vehicular travel. <br /> <br />Right of Way: The privilege of the immediate use <br />of the street or highway. <br /> <br />Roadway: That portion of a street or highway <br />between the regularly established curb lines or <br />that portion improved and intended to be used for <br />vehicular travel. <br /> <br />Safety Zone: The area of space officially set <br />apart within a roadway for the exclusive use of <br />pedestrians and which is protected or is so marked <br />or indicated by adequate signs as to be plainly <br />vls~ble at all times while set apart as a safety <br />zone. <br /> <br />School Zone: A space in any street lawfully <br />designated by this Code or by ordinance for the <br />safe~y of persons going to and returning from <br />public, private or parochial schools. <br /> <br />Service Car: A motor vehicle other than a motor- <br />bus,offered for or engaged in carrying passengers <br />for hire over a designated route and for a fixed <br />'fare and over the route of which the passenger has <br />rio control , <br /> <br />Sol~d '[ires: Tires of rubber or other resilient <br />material, other than pneumatic tires. <br /> <br />Stop: When required, means complete cessa[ion of <br /> <br />Stree[ or l~,ighway: The ~ord "street" or "highway" <br />shall mean any thoroughfare for vehicles, including <br />publ.[c streets, boulevards~ parkways or alleys. <br /> <br />Streetcars: Every device traveling exclusively <br />upon Falls when Upon or crossing a street, other <br />than cars or trains propelled or moved by steam or <br />operated on steam railway tracks. <br /> <br />Taxicab: A motor vehicle other than a "motorbus" <br />or "service Ear" offered for or engaged in carrying <br />passengers for- hire, as defined I0y this section. <br /> <br />Tractor: Any motor' vehicle designed primarily for <br />agricultural use or used as a traveling power plant <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
