washing of motor vehicles and the making of minor <br />repairs, but not including such major repairs as: Spray <br />painting, body, fender, clutch, transmission, <br />differential, axle, spring and frame repairs; major <br />overhauling of engines or radiators requiring removal <br />thereof; or recapping or retreading of tires. <br /> <br />Block Frontaqe - All the property abutting on one (1) <br />side of a street between two (2) intersecting or <br />intercepting streets or, if the street be dead end, then <br />all property abutting on one (1) side between an <br />intersecting or intercepting street and the dead end of <br />the street. In the case of dead end streets less than <br />two hundred and fifty (250) feet in length and <br />terminating in an open circular turnaround space, both <br />sides of the street shall be considered to be in the <br />same block frontage. <br /> <br />Building - A building is a structure intended for <br />shelter. <br /> <br />Buildinq Coveraqe (Lot Coverage> - That percentage of a <br />lot which, when viewed from above, would be covered by a <br />structure or structures or any part thereof, excluding <br />roof eaves. <br /> <br />Buildinq Heiqht - The vertical distance measured from <br />the curb grade or its equivalent established grade at a <br />point midway between the two (2) side lot lines to the <br />highest point of the roof in the case of a flat roof; to <br />the deck line of a mansard roof; and to the mean height <br />level between eaves and ridge of a gable, hip or 9ambrel <br />roof; provided, that where buildings are set back from <br />street line, the height of the building may be measured <br />from the average elevation of the finished lot grade at <br />the front of the building. <br /> <br />Buildinq Line - A line parallel to the front lot line <br />and passing through the nearest point of the principal <br />building. <br /> <br />Buildinq Permit - A permit issued by the Building <br />Commissioner prior to any construction. <br /> <br />Car Wash - A structure or portion thereof, containing <br />facilities for washing motor vehicles, such as a chain <br />conveyor, blower, steam cleaning device or other <br />mechanical device. <br /> <br />Carry-out Restaurant - An establishment which sells <br />prepared beverages and/or food to the public <br />principally for the consumption off the premises, and <br />which does not offer goods or services to consumers <br />waiting in parked motor vehicles. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
