M-121.6 Board Decisions: No resolution shall be approved unless it receives the <br />affirmative vote of the majority of those members present to hear the appeal, but in no <br />case shail the board modify or reverse the decision of the code official without a <br />concurring vote of at least three of its members. <br /> <br />M-121.7 Court Review: Is hereby deleted in its entirety. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 4 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT) <br /> (SECTION M-408.0 BOH,ER ROOMS AND FURNACE ROOMS) <br />M-408.2 Enclosures: Every furnace, boiler or combination boiler shall be installed in <br />a protected area with an enclosure designed to prevent unauthorized entry. A locked <br />door or gate shall be provided for such enclosure openable from the inside without the <br />use of a key. <br /> Exception: Buildings of Use Group R-3 and Use Group R-2 containing <br /> six dwelling units or less. <br /> <br />M-408.2.1 Storage or living quarters: No part of a furnace or boiler enclosure <br />shall be used for storage or living quarters. <br /> <br />M-408.3 Dwelling units: Fuel-burning heating appliances in dwelling units shall be <br />located only in furnace rooms, boiler rooms, utility rooms or similar spaces and shall not <br />be located in any habitable space, hall, bathroom or toilet room. <br /> <br />Exception: Approved floor furnaces, through-the-wall heaters, recessed <br />wall-heaters, fireplaces and fireplace inserts. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 5 KITCHEN EXHAUST EQUIPMENT) <br /> (SECTION M-501.0 GENERAL) <br />M-501.1 Scope: This chapter shall govern the construction, installation, alteration, and <br />repair of all kitchen exhaust equipment. Except as otherwise provided in this code, <br />commercial kitchen exhaust equipment shall conform to the standards of NFiPA 96-91 <br />as published by the National Fire Protection Association. <br /> <br /> (SECTION M-508.0 SUFPRESSION FOR COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS <br />M-508.3. System Interconnections: The aetuation of the fire suppression system shall <br />automatically shut down the fuel or electrical supply to the cooking equipment and shut <br />down the portions of the mechanical system that provide make-up air, including the <br />motorized dampers, fans and blowers. <br /> <br /> (SECTION M-509.0 TEST AND CLEANING SCHEDULE) <br />M-509.1 Cleaning Schedule: A cleaning schedule shall be maintained by the owner or <br />occupant for every commercial kitchen exhaust system.
