(CHAPTER 5 PLUMBING FACILITIES AND FIXTURE REQUIREMENTS) <br /> (SECTION P1~-503.0 REQUIRED FACILIllF_~") <br /> PM-503.1 Dwelling units: Every dwelling unit shall contain its own bathtub or shower, <br /> lavatory, water closet and kitchen sink which shall be maintained in a sanitary, safe <br /> working condition. The lavatory shall be placed in the same room as the water closet <br /> or located in close proximity to the door leading directly into the room in which such <br /> water closet is located. <br /> <br />Every dwelling unit with more than seven occupants shall contain additional plumbing <br />fixtures at the rate of one additional water closet and one additional lavatory for each <br />additional four occupants or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(CHAPTER 6 MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL REQUIRFAMEN~) <br /> (SECTION PM-602.0 HEATING FACIJ. aTh'~ <br /> PM-602.2.1 Heat supply: Every owner and operator of any building who <br /> rents, leases or lets one or more dwelling unit, rooming unit, dormitory or guest <br /> room on terms, either express or implied, to furnish heat to the occupants thereof <br /> shall supply sufficient heat during the period from October 1 to May 15 to <br /> maintain a room temperature specified in Section PM-602.2, during the hours <br /> between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. of each day and not less than 60 degrees F. <br /> (16 degrees C.) during other hours. <br /> <br />PM-602.3 Nonresidential structures: Every enclosed occupied work space shall be <br />supplied with sufficient heat during the period from October 1 to May 15 to maintain a <br />temperature of not less than 65 degrees F. (18 degrees C.) during all working hours. <br /> Exceptions: <br /> 1. Processing, storage and operation areas that require cooling or special <br /> temperature conditions. <br /> 2. Areas in which persons are primarily engaged in vigorous physical activities. <br /> <br /> (SECTION PM-604.0 ELECTRICAL FACILrrW.~~) <br />PM-604.3.1 Prohibited installations: The following are prohibited and their <br />presence shall be deemed a hazard: <br /> <br />1. Flush or semi-flush mounted floor receptacle outlets, unless provided <br /> with an approved waterproof cover. <br />2. Extension cords for other than short term temporary use. <br />3. Lamp cord used as permanent wiring. <br />4. Conductor supported pendant switches or conductor supported pendant <br /> lighting fixtures. <br />5. Loose or hanging wires. <br />6. Frayed or bare wires. <br />7. Grounded-type receptacles which are improperly or inadequately <br /> grounded. <br /> <br />-3.5- <br /> <br /> <br />
