Sec 17-2. ADDITIONS. INSERTIONS. DELETIONS AND CHANGES <br /> <br />The following numbered sections and sub-sections of the BOCA Property <br />Maintenance Code, Fourth Edition, 1993, are hereby mended by additions, <br />insertions, deletions and changes so that such amended sections and subsections <br />shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> (CHAFFER 1 ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT) <br /> (SECTION PM-10L0 GmqEIIAL) <br />PM-101.1 Title: These regulations shall be known as the Properly Maintenance Code <br />of the City of University City, Missouri, hereinafter referred to as this code. <br /> <br />PM-101.2 Scope: This code is to protect the public health, safety and welfare in all <br />existing structures, residential and nonresidential, and on all existing premises and <br />exterior property by establishing minimum requirements and standards for premises, <br />structures, exterior property, equipment, and facilities for light, ventilation, space, <br />heating, sanitation, protection from the elements, life safety, safety from fire and other <br />haT~rd5, and for safe and sanitary maintenance; fixing the responsibility of owners, <br />operators, and occupants; regulaling the occupancy of existing structures and premises <br />and providing for administration, enforcement and penalties. <br /> <br />PM-101.8 Compliance Alternatives: Where differences occur between the provisions <br />of this code and the provisions for compliance alternatives in Chapter 34 of the building <br />code listed in Chapter 8, the provisions of the building code shall govern. <br /> <br />PM-101.9 Historic Structures: Where differences occur between the provisions of this <br />code and the provisions for historic structures in Chapter 34 of the building code listed <br />in Chapter 8, the provisions of the building code shall govern. <br /> <br /> (SECTION PM-I04.0 APPROVAL) <br />PM-104.2 Modifications: Where there are practical difficulties imtotvad in can'ying <br />out the provisions of this code, the code official shall be permitted to vary or modify <br />such provision upon application of the owner or the owner's representative, pwvided that <br />the spirit and intent of the law shall be observed and public welfare and safety assured. <br /> <br />PM-104.2.1 Records:-Delete in its entirety. <br /> <br /> (SECTION PM-105.0 DUrw,8 AND POWERS OF CODE OFFICIAL) <br />PM-105.11 Official records:-Delete in its entirety. <br /> <br /> (SECTION FM-106.0 VIOLATIONS) <br />PM-106.1 Unlawful acts: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to <br />erect, construct, alter, extend, repair, remove, demolish, maintain, fail to maintain, <br />provide, fall to provide, use or occupy, let to another for use or occupancy or permit <br /> <br /> <br />
