2703.5.3 The permittee shall personally perform all required work. <br /> <br />2703.5.4 Prior to the issuance of a permit under this Section, the Code Official shall <br />determine that the request for a permit complies with the foregoing provisions and that <br />the applicant has the necessary knowledge and ability to perform the proposed work in <br />accordance with code requirements. <br /> <br />2703.5.5 The permit may be revoked by the Code Official if it is determined that work <br />under the permit is not being properly performed or that the application did not comply <br />or no longer .cpmplies with this Section. Upon such revocation, the property owner may <br />be required by the Code Official to proceed immediately to procure a licensed electrician <br />to correct or complete the work. <br /> <br />2703.5.6 This Section does not authorize a waiver or modification of any provision of <br />this Code relating to the materials, design, installation or practice of electrical work, or <br />to the preparation and approval of plans, or to required fees for permits, inspections or <br />reinspections. <br /> <br />2703.6 License required: A permit shall be issued only to a person who has a currently valid <br />electrical contractors license, electrical maintenance license, electrical industrial license, or <br />electrical communications contractors license, duly issued by the Building Commission of St. <br />Louis County, Missouri, or to a homeowner for work to be performed under a homeowners <br />permit. <br /> ( CHAPTER 28 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS ) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 2800.0 GENERAL) <br />2801.2 Mechanical code: All mechanical equipment and systems shall be constructed, <br />installed and maintained in accordance with this chapter and the 1996 Edition of the ICC <br />International Mechanical Code listed in Chapter 35. <br /> <br />SECTION 2810.0 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />2810.1 Boiler room security: Every boiler or combination boiler shall be located in an <br />enclosed area designed to prevent unauthorized entry, secured with a locked door openable <br />from the inside without the use of a key. Storage or living quarters shall not be permitted in any <br />enclosure for a boiler or similar heating equipment. <br /> <br />Exception: Heating boilers located in buildings of Use Group R-3 and Use Group R-2 <br />containing six or fewer dwelling units. <br /> <br />2810.2 Mechanical draft system exhaust termination. The termination of mechanical draft <br />system chimneys or vents equipped with power exhausters shall be located a minimum of 10 <br />feet (304 mm) from the lot line or from an adjacent building on the same lot. The exhaust shall <br />be directed away from the building. <br /> <br />2810.3 Kitchen exhaust system cleaning schedule: A cleaning schedule shall be <br />maintained by the owner or occupant for every commercial kitchen exhaust system. The <br />schedule shall indicate methods of cleaning and the time interval between cleaning. <br /> <br />2810.4 Boiler shutoff valves: Every boiler, including a single low-pressure steam boiler ,or <br />battery of modular units shall have a shutoff valve in the supply and return piping. For multiple <br />boilers or battery of modular unit installations, each boiler or battery of modular units shall have <br />individual shutoff valves in the supply and return piping.. <br /> <br />2810.5 Periodic inspections: All boilers and pressure vessels shall be inspected by the <br />Missouri Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire Safety, Boiler/Pressure Vessel Unit as <br />provided by state statutes. <br /> <br />-[4- <br /> <br /> <br />
